by pr0gramthepr0grammer Published: August 27, 2006 This is (what appears to be) the only true representation of the Windows Longhorn 3xxx-series logon screen for Windows XP. It was created by not just swapping resources from a real Longhorn 3xxx-era logonui.exe file, but also by porting the UIFile from Longhorn to XP. Hence, the logon screen looks and acts as if you installed a real 3xxx-series build of Longhorn. The only thing that is missing from this logon screen when compared to the real Longhorn logon is the clock. Unfortunately the clock feature is unavailable in the Windows XP logonui.exe. There is also a bug where the width of the password hint button may randomly change. I've got no idea why this happens: it doesn't do it in VPC when running at a low resolution, but it does on my desktop with a high resolution. There's a workaround for this: don't have a password hint :D This is my first logon screen, so I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if there are any problems with it. :) Please read the README.TXT file before using.
